| The sisters keen sense for business was already evident early on when they opened 1850 Trading Post with another sibling Ruby de Mesa Borja. The venture grew te be one of the biggest outlets for Levi’s Jeans and has done much to establish the brand’s strong presence in the country. Yet as the sisters soon found out, whipping up food is what they love doing best. On September 22, 1982, they opened the BANGUS RESTAURANT at the Crossroad Arcade in Greenhills, San Juan, an instant smash among foodies everywhere. The sisters then went on to establish Tri-Chefs Food Corporation, parent company of the legendary Ima and Takayama Restaurant. Over the years, they have introduced innovated dishes and bold marketing ideas that have left indelible mark in the restaurant business. The recipe for the sisters success has never changed. Shunning the ivory tower, they personally oversee the day -to-day of all the outlets. They put a premium on creativety and enovation which allows the restaurants to be always exciting. They also believe in research and development which put them on the cutting edge of dining trends. Above all, they practice the highest standards of honesty and fairness whether dealing with employees, suppliers or customers. Little wonderthat the restaurant is still growing. With its holding company now known as BANGUS REPUBLIC INC., the restaurant has managed to move its main outlet to the highly-accessible Connecticut Carpark in Greenhills Shopping Center. It also boasts of strategically-placed branches in Robinson’s Galleria, SM Mall of Asia. |
