  • How much does a Bangus Franchise cost?  What is included in the franchise fee?

The franchise fee amount is Seven Hundred Thousand Pesos only (Php 700,000.00), net of VAT and other applicable national and/or local government taxes. The franchise fee is inclusive of the following: license on the use of franchise name, site development plan, business plan, pre-opening marketing plan with specific quantities of collateral ad materials. The franchise fee and license allows the approved franchisee to operate a Bangus restaurant for a period of five (5) years.

  • When does the franchisee have to pay the fee?

Once franchise application is approved, the franchisee will be required to sign a Franchise Agreement and pay the full amount of the franchise fee upon signing of the agreement. The duly signed Franchise Agreement will be notarized and both parties will keep copies of the documents for file and reference.

  • What are the Continuing Fees?

There will be monthly fees of 4.0 % for Royalty and 2.0 % for National Advertising Fund (NAF) for the first 3 years and 3.0 % for the remaining two years of the 5-year franchise period, which are base on gross monthly sales attainment, to be remitted on a specific date every month for the duration of the franchise period.

  • How long does it take to open a Bangus restaurant?

The project development process would takes approximately 3 to 4 months from the time the site location is ready. The activities include processing of applications, project site study & development, business planning, design & construction, application of necessary permits, ordering of standard machines/equipment/furniture & other related materials, and Franchisee & Staff training.

  • How many restaurants can a franchisee own?

A franchisee can own several restaurants. However, awarding of a 2nd restaurant shall be based on the franchisee’s overall performance on the 1st restaurant. Decision will be based on certain criteria which includes total adherence to system standard & policies, prompt payment of accounts, dedication, involvement to manage, and cooperation among others.

  • What should be considered in looking for a potential site?

It is recommended that restaurant should be located in high foot traffic areas with ample/adequate parking such as in commercial center, malls and other places with existing and good traffic generators. The site frontage should be wide enough to ensure good product awareness and visibility. Potential franchisee is assure that no other Bangus restaurant will be established within a certain market radius, so that franchisee can fully realize the returns of his investment and not competes with another restaurant. 
            
In cases wherein the restaurant is located within a building or a certain market radius  which has potential for expansion within or around the said location, the existing franchisee will be given the right of first refusal to offer.

  • What is the floor area requirement?

The ideal restaurant size is 100 to 120 square meters more or less.  The kitchen area usually occupies 30% to 35% of the space. The ideal size can produce approximately 45 to 65 seating capacity but this will depend on the cut or shape of the lease space.           

  • What kind of training will the Bangus Franchisee receive?

The franchisee and his employees will be given theoretical and actual on-the-job training which shall include system standards and policies, purchasing, receiving & storage, food & beverage preparation, code of ethics, HRD procedure. Operations Manual shall be provided to franchisee to serve as guide and reference to ensure adherence to system standards.

  • What type of assistance will be provided to Bangus Franchisee?

Aside from assistance in site and business development planning and pre-opening marketing plan, support will be rendered during the opening of the restaurants by providing qualified employees who will help and assist in the initial days after the restaurant opens. There will be training programs for franchisees, managers and restaurant staff. Brand marketing activities will be recommended to help maintain product awareness and to encourage potential customers.      

  • Who will be responsible in the recruitment of personnel?

Franchisee shall source, screen and select the required number of management staff and personnel.  

  • What products are served in a Bangus restaurant? Product selling price?

Bangus Restaurant is a specialty restaurant that offers bangus (milkfish) as main viand cooked in many different ways. Our objective is to keep people interested in our restaurant as well as providing them with healthier options. Some of the products offered are Bangus Prime- Cut ( All Bangus belly):Bistek,Fried Milk Fish Belly with Sampaloc Candy Sauce and Crispy Kangkong, Paksiw,Bangus Ala Pobre, sizzling Bangus,and the no. 1 selling Sinigang na Prime-cut. Around 30 percent of the restaurant menu consists of Bangus dishes.
There are also choices of non-bangus sizzling specialties, vegetables dishes and soups. Many of the dishes are cooked the traditional way. Therefore, customers are assured of the quality and consistency of the products offered. Most of the food products are processed and supplied by commissary. A franchisee is not allowed to sell or introduce any other food item other than those specified in the menu. Selling prices of all food and beverage products are uniform in all restaurants. Selling prices in menu are inclusive of 12%VAT plus 10% Service Charge.

  • How will product quality and standard of operations are being upheld?

An operations and accounting specialist will randomly check and inspect the restaurant operations and its personnel on the basis of system standards on service, product quality, cleanliness, equipment maintenance, atmosphere, etc.
